Take Paris Hilton (I know she's not from France but I can wish can't I), it was announced earlier this week that she's suing Hallmark Cards, Inc. over it's use of the phrase "That's Hot!" on which her face was superimposed over the character of a waitress. If anyone should sue Hallmark, it should be the Waitress Union.
Hilton sued Kansas City-based Hallmark Cards Inc. in U.S. District Court, seeking an injunction and unspecified damages to be determined at trial. The lawsuit says that Hilton owns the trademark “That’s hot,” which was registered on Feb. 13, 2007. Hallmark defended the card as parody, which is normally protected under fair-use law. Hey Paris: That's Hot!That's Hot!That's Hot!That's Hot!
I guess I'll can that marketing proposal for the Hilton Jail-Cell "Soap-On-The-Rope".

Yum Brands, Inc., the parent company of Kentucky Fried Chicken recently announced that it was updating all of it's KFC restaurants. They have updated our beloved Colonel Sanders one more time.  Rappin' Colonel Sanders Now, with Yum Brands announcing that nearly 1,900 of it's 14,000 restaurants are in China, they have turned once again, into a different direction with a much different targeted audience. The new logo doesn't look anything like Colonel Harland Sanders, unless KFC's paid for his wrinkle-reduction surgery. No, I think the new Colonel looks Asian. To be more specific, he looks like Ho Chi Minh. Don't roll your eyes. Let's take a look at the evidence and I'll let you draw your own conclusions.  Beloved Logo
